KRYLON SPRAY PAINT MAKE OVER: RUSTY TEA KETTLE TURNED FLORAL CENTER PIECE

By now, I am sure you are well aware of the wonderful things Krylon brands spray paint can do for revamping an old ugly object laying around the house. If you don't allow me to show you JUST one more ugly thing made FAB by Krylon!

So I bought this tea kettle originally to boil hot water for my sons bottles when he was just a little guy. One night the sitter left water in it and it rusted (yuuuck) Being the pack rat I am, I held onto it because I knew it could look better.

Could look better? YES YES YES, and not just to boil water (the rust inside shot that idea). So I dug out the trusty ole Krylon Satin Spray Paint in "Ivory" and wiped this ugly thing down and, well, the rest is history, two coats of Krylon later and she's ready to sit center stove, on or on the counter with some faux flowers inside:) I'm sure I'll end up getting fake hydrandgeas, but what a nice little farmhouse look, right?

Watch out next week when I take an ugly old night stand and use Krylon's "celery" to make it over for my daughter's shabby chic bedroom ;) LOVE YOU KRYLON!!

Been a while..

Sometimes I don't know where my life goes or in what direction, or how fast. It seems like there are so many changes and so little time to blog about them all. Not that much of it is even remotely interesting, but sometimes it makes me feel good to spill my beans to the world.

So what's going on? Baby girl started Kindergarten. Just last year she was in Pre K, now she's growing up so fast, and I love to watch her grow, and other times my clingy mama side says, oh gosh, before I even realize it, she will be 18 and what will become of me?

From the time I was 21 and pregnant with her, I pretty much defined myself solely as a mother. Nothing more, nothing less, just mom. And I think it will be hard to picture myself being anything else. And then bubby came along and now I am doubly thinking, man being a mom really does mean wearing your heart on your sleeve, and now I have to do it x 2.

I realize it's a huge responsibility, and sometimes I wonder why God trusted ME, of all people with such precious beings. Part of me already knows why, I needed them to grow, and they need me. And I only hope to never let them down, but I am sure at some point no parent is perfect.

Anyway, KINDERGARTEN?! wow, what a transformation from Pre K to Kindy, huh?

Then a week ago, some of my Jersey family came down & my sister came down from California with my baby neice. It was a great time to catch up, only everything was so chaotic and Ethan was a hot mess and my parents house isn't child proof, which meant a lot of time for me at my own home minus family interaction.

Sometimes it's just easier to forego the family fun when it entails chasing a busy body 16 month around and hearing my father huff about everything he does. (haha).

Then I took a few photos of my sister's best friends baby (the lighting was harsh and I only managed a few good shots) but we were on a time crunch and had to get a few done before she left for Georgia again. So here's a couple:

What a cute baby. Definatley not my best work:( and this makes me sad, but, again, the lighting was harsh and the timing was off.

Aside all this, I did get one relaxing night at Myrtle Beach with my unusually loud children, courtesy of my awesome sister and her awesome fiance. And then we ate ate the Spring House, and I got sick right away (the eggs were not cooked right). But it was still good;) haha! But my sister kept MiMi, so she treated her to Ripley's Aquarium, where they did not honor an inactive duty military i.d. for her fiance. Kind of sad, the man goes overseas so many times and can't get the discount. C'mon business', what about the veterans? Back in the day they had drafts and men and woman were not going back to back overseas, I don't know how the military families survive these lengthy back to back deployments, I think even those who get out should get the military discounts. I can't even begin to phathom being in a war torn country, let alone over and over and over. But that's another rant for another day.

How has everyone been? <3 Loves!

Try this one on! It's a beaut!

Recently I was sent the CoverGirl LashBlast Fusion Mascara via bzzagent.com. If you haven't heard about bzzagent.com, it's a great place to try products FREE, share the products & your opinions with friends (both good and bad) and earn points in the process by completing reports. Let my photo be evidence alone, check out my long lashes from today! Back to the mascara, as usual, I tend to be brand loyal, but I have to say with a few coats of this mascara, your lashes really perk right on up. The positive I have noticed to Lasblast Fusion by CoverGirl, is that unlike another brand I have been fiercly loyal too, this brand DOES NOT CLUMP, you have naturally LONG looking lashes.

I'm sure I'll keep this one on my product list! Best of all? I have $2.00 off coupons for anyone interested in trying any covergirl brand product! Thanks for letting me bzz about this wonderful mascara, you all know

And I just had to share another photo from another CoverGirl campaign I did for shadow blast, smokey eyes, this one is blue stick. I am not a fan of cream eyeshadows, but with a primer/base it goes on and lasts all day! I love makeup and I just had to share this one with you all!

C SECTION TIME, AUNT JENNY TIME!!

So Thursday around noon I am lounging on my parents couch, the kids are running about driving me insane and my mom blurts out after hanging up the phone with my sister, "Mickey is going to have a c section on Monday".

Of course immediatley the gears in my head start turning and I am scheming up ways to get from the Carolina's clear across the US to California. I have no money in all honesty, but I have a credit card and a credit card that I saved for such purposes.

It was a hard decision to go, because I had never been away from my son EVER, and I have never been away from my daughter for any amount of time really other than the hours she sleeps or when she went to pre k. But when my mom refused to fly and my dad wouldn't go, I knew it was time for my big butt to get a way there to be my sister's maiden in shining armour * hahaha * joke joke.

So eventually that night we bought a ticket roundtrip, for under 400 bucks, and here it is I will be going to bed to sleep a few hours and then I will embark on my FIRST ever SOLO flight. No turning back, it's a done deal, non refundable.

Not only will I concur my fear of heights and planes, I will also concur my fear of being alone in a large crowd of strangers. CRAP! Forget all that, I am good in God's hands. What I am scared about is if I am going to be able to run fast enough to get from my switching flight from one end of Charlotte Douglas Airport allllll the way to the other end.

Oh airport folks, you mock me, you like to see a gal run! even if I don't have to run, I am still going to run, because even more than my fear of heights and planes and crowded places, I fear being LOST and being LEFT behind.

Yes, my lovely blog readers, you will come to learn in due time, I have very many irrational and ridiculous fears. Some common, some bizarre, I own them:)

So this time tomorrow I will be in California and I get to see my VERY best friend in the world whom I have not seen since November!! I am ecstatic!! And I get to be there for the birth of my first neice! And?!!? I GET TO BE THE PHOTOGRAPHER FOR IT ALL!!

Can't say I never traveled across the united states for a photo op?! haha - I'm totally kidding. I am elated, I am scared, I am nervous, and I will not eat before my plane ride incase my anxiety makes me want to puke.

I only hope my riding partner doesn't hate that he/or/she has to be stuck with an anti social like myself. GREAAAT hahahha! g'night dear readers!! <3 !! I hope to be in California safe and sound tomorrow and I hope Doug takes good care of the kids while i am gone. I am sooo nervous!

So much on my mind

I think sometimes I have so much on my mind that I often feel like the messy person.

Figuratively speaking, the messy person doesn't know which corner to start cleaning and so the problems just stack like an old playing card tower ready to crumble at the slightest motion.

Me? I am a bit of a nut job. Self admitted nut job. My mind is all over the place and never settles. I have an unstable emotional outlook and I can never decide what it is I really want.

I see the good in people and then I pick them apart and analyze what their true motives in wanting to know me are.

Because, simply put, my self esteem has become so low that I can't phatom why anyone would want to be around me, and so I find reasons to close myself off to others. Generally I am always with my children and never get a kid free moment, so that in itself is the truth. Other times I look at myself and hate myself and don't want to do anything at all that day but be with my kids.

I couldn't really tell you when all of this started. I guess in a way it's always been a part of my mentality and that sucks. I hate with a passion being bi polar. One day, one minute, one second, one hour, one week, I can have the best self image and outlook in the entire universe. I want to do everything at once and not stop until I feel I have perfected the task at hand.

Then out of no where BAM!! In comes the the manic depressive side that says, you're not good enough, you don't need or deserve friends, you're a shitty person, you can't do anything right, look at you..and it's all down hill from there.

I often wonder if being alone with my thoughts is the best overall thing.

I know what makes me most unhappy and yet I am so unwilling to stick to a change that I just wallow in my own self pitty and let it eat me alive. I never used to be this bad. When did things just get so unattainable?

I know there's always a light at the end of every tunnel. I just hate having to ride the road that gets me to the light. Let's pray when I start the "change" again I don't break after just one week. I am my own worst enemy. I think everyone is there own worst enemy.

Random Bitching in June..

Yes, the title suggests it all.

No one likes a negative Nancy, so I try to keep my bitching to a minimum, but sometimes I can't help myself, it all started off with the heat. This ungodly 97 degree heat. And no, it's not dry heat like when I lived in Texas and the 100 degree days were nothing really. Oh no loves, 97 degrees in the Carolina's is like hell. Hell on earth. The humidity is intolerable. It's so insanely hot that I have my thermostat set at 80 and it STILL runs all day and won't go below 84 degrees. Oh sweet Jesus.

Yes, I realize while I bitch about the heat in the comfort of my own small home, others have it far worse, and for that I should shame myself. But no, I just want to have my moment of negativity and vent it out safely on a blog;) After all, that is what blogs are for, venting :D Well, venting, sharing ideas, etc.

Coupled with the heat, my neighbors dogs are INFESTED with fleas, and all I can think is, oh dear Gah, it's just a matter of time before those things get into my yard. Really, I know frontline is expensive, but it's worth every dime, Why would you let your animal suffer like that? heat + fleas = no picnic for a poor pooch. I know, we happily coughed up the money to keep our dog on it. That and, well let's just say if I ever get fleas in my house EVER again, I will completely lose my mind, that is HOW hard they are to get rid of. However, if you notice them right away and immediately wash all the linens and mop everytihng daily for a good couple weeks coupled with whatever fabulous chemical cocktail terminix uses, they will be gone in no time at all. THANK GOD FOR TERMINIX & Murphy's oil soap:D heaven sent blessing!! Never trust any over the counter flea foggers, the first time we had fleas they took MONTHS to get rid of and we spent near a thousand bucks, all it took was a call to terminix and 120 bucks later and they were goooone!

So yeah, as you can tell I'll probably rip my neighbors head off at the first sign of one of those pesky things in my yard:D hehe. Thankfully we kept our contract with terminix and if they should come back they'll treat right away. I tend to have a love hate relationship with that company, but they made right the wrongs one tech did so I am pleased for the moment being:)

I admit I am super anal about bugs and critters, I DO NOT WANT THEM, AT ALL lol.

So what else can I complain about?

Well the heat again..it's so hot I can not do any outdoor photos which means absolutely no money my way. Which isn't such a bad thing I suppose, only I was hoping to save the side income and set it aside for when MiMi starts kindergarten.

I like to have money set aside as to avoid breaking out the dreaded credit card that carries a 22 percent interest rate (butt rape, if you ask me, given our credit is flawless!). BUUUUT, I guess some one's gotta pay for all the defaulters and of course the credit regulations on raising hte interest rate, they companies had to raise it before the law went into effect. (shrugs).

Personally I think they should make it waaay harder to get a credit card. Not only that, I think they should be more thorough in approving credit cards, it's so easy to steal some one's info and assume their identity (I know first hand). The credit card companies who issue cards to false persons should be held liable, not the victim.

Again, negative Nancy is on a roll here. ;)

Yeah, so aside all of my mad woman rambling and bitching, I am also very thankful that I have a roof over my head and that I could have so much more to complain about so I will just count my blessings, and thanks for letting me do what we all do from time to time..because let's face it; bitching feels GOOD!
